How to Factory Reset New Vivo Qualcomm Devices in Fastboot Mode?

Note: Before doing the operation please check whether the device is supported or not for fastboot operation.

  1. Connect Device in Fastboot mode (Make sure Fastboot drivers are installed and device is detected).
  2. Open Hydra Exe and Select Qualcomm Tab,Select Model.
  3. In service tab under Vivo from the drop down menu select Factory reset function.
  4. Choose Safe Format - Auto in fastboot mode.
  5. Click Execute.

How can I know my device is secured or non-secured? You need to go to the Supported Models tab and enter your model page. You will see your device is secured or non-secured. (Secured devices only Supported FRP and Format)

Steps:

  1. Run "Qualcomm SoC" of Hydra Tool
  2. Go to Vivo Tab, then, choose "Factory Reset" option
  3. For Secured Vivo devices (mobile / Cellphone), Select "Forced Erase" Method.
  4. For Non Secured devices, you can use other options like "Safe Format -EMC or Safe Format New - UFS)
  5. Find your exact device. To find the Test-points of your device's, go to "Test-points Tab" or "Test-point Folder" in Hydra software Location.
  6. Time to keep your device into EDLmode (Emergency Download Mode) using Test-point or using ELD data cable.
  7. Click Execute Button and Wait for operation until it's completed.

How to Connect EDL (Emergency Download Mode)?

What is the EDL Mode?

Emergency Download Mode (EDL) is for Connection device to Read & Write Firmware, FRP, Screen Locks, Factory Reset Operations of eMMC and UFS Chips. QDLoader Mode (EDL) is only available for Qualcomm Snapdragon devices. Although connecting devices (cellphones) to EDL Mode depends on Brands or Devices (Mobiles) those are available in the market. Still There are few methods to connect device to EDL Mode.

1. Booting Devices (Cellphones) to EDL Mode using "Boot Keys":

Most generic Qualcomm devices go to EDL Mode by pressing theirs boot keys. Device must be Power off first, Press and Hold Vol(+) UP and Vol(-) Down , then, connect USB Cable. Successfully connection ask you device drivers.

2. Boot to EDL Mode by UMF Cable:

Specialized UMF cables are available in the market that can facilitate entering EDL Mode on compatible devices.

Alternative: You can also search for hero key cables on Google which serve a similar purpose for entering EDL Mode.

3. Booting Devices (Mobiles) using PCB Test point shorting:

Shorting CMD pin on the test points of the device (cellphones) takes the device into EDL mode directly. Test-points on every brands and model are different. You can find pin-out of test-point under Hydra Tool installation folder or you can google it.

4. Boot EDL by device Mode

Hydra Tool has some functions that makes devices (Cellphones) into EDL mode directly. You can take devices
